Default Tranfer of Contact to Car - 07-24-2008, 03:31 PM

I have been trying to transfer the contacts from my BB to my car. The car gets set up and then states to transfer data from phone. I do not see any way to tell the Blackberry to transfer. They are connected through bluetooth. Is there a way to do this?

if you open the Bluetooth setup on your BB, hit the menu key, select Transfer Address Book

Maybe I am going to the wrong place. I have gone to Options-Bluetooth-HandsFree-Options. There is a short list of settings one is Address Book Transfer with the optional settings of "All Enteries" "Hotlist Only" and "Disabled" I have it set to "All Entries" Am I close to the right place? I do not know what to do after that to get it to send. If that is not the right place I do not know where else I can find Bluetooth setup.

It is quite possible that the older OS is different than mine, but do not go into the handsfree options, once in Bluetooth just hit the menu key and on mine there is an option that says "Transfer Address Book"

This device is a couple of years old--has the scroll wheel. The only menu button I can think of that this has is to click on the scroll wheel, and this takes me directly to HandsFree.

It open the web browser. I looked at it to see if I could make it a menu button, but that is not an option. I did make it an options button but it does nothing when I push it and it is on Bluetooth.

Problem fixed. I had not installed any updates for the BB. When I installed the update there was a "Transfer Address Book" option that was not there before. It also fixed a previous problem I had that I could not fix.
