Thanks for all the pics! That was very decent of you.
If it's not too much trouble, could you take a pic of the 8700c side-by-side with the BB 7520? I'd like to see how it compares for size with my current "CrackBerry".
And I'm not even gonna ASK how you were able to get your hands on a Vertu phone! Those things are HELLA expensive!!!

Interesting. Using your photos and carefully measuring the keys, the 8700's keys are 1.87 times the area of the 700's. Screen area on the 8700 is 1.08 times the 700's.

Sorry Boygenius but I have a dumb request, any chance you can take a picture of the 7100g or whichever on top of the 8700, they look like a very close match in you pics above, but I was just curious to really see how much size difference there is between the 2.
If not no worries.

There has been alot of questions about the new Treo 700w and its specifications.
Does it have the 320x320 screen?
What is the memory specifications on the device?
What is the processor speed? (Rumored Intel PXA272 624MHz?)
Thanks for your time

I don't have the 8700 yet, but this is definitely a BlackBerryOS 4.1 feature (the shipping OS on the 8700). You can assign custom rings on a per-contact basis.
Thanks,

The resolution is 240x240 as I understand it. For the rest, I'm not familiar.
Thanks,

Yes, You can assign ringers to a contact but only for a phone call, I wish I could assign certain ringers or sounds for emails, level 1 messages, and so on.

You saw correctly. Palm now uses Windows Mobile in Treo 700. Yes, pigs are flying. Do a Google search for the announcement by Palm.
Thanks,

I am surprised with all of the high-end stuff you have that you don't have a Nokia 8800...

Nokia 8800 = A peasant to the Vertu...not sayin anything rude I just mean in general, Vertu is basically the Highest End Nokia...And sadly to say I do have an 8800, LOL. But whatever phone you got aslong as you use it wisely thats all that matters...If it serves the purpose then who cares what you use...

Does Nokia make the Vertu? I've never seen it until this post.
Don't be sad about having the 8800. I'd love to have one. My current "high-end" phone is a Samsung E880. Half of my collection of approximately 20 GSM phones are classic collector's items such as the Motorola Select 2000e. Unfortunately, I have the habit of buying phones when I am stressed out (as opposed to smoking cigarettes or something), so I usually get one every few weeks.

Vertu is a seperate company, the whole entire OS is nokia based, and modified for Vertu, nokia has no part of software or hardware for instance no nokia office has the capability to flash or upgrade software on the phones..8800 sucks in my opinion, the buttons are way too small and close together, the D-Pad sucks can barely press up, OS isnt that bad, but all in all dont like the phone.
