Default Missing E-Mails.... - 11-26-2005, 07:45 PM

My laptop has received 5 e-mails today.

But, the 8700r only received 2 of them.

What's up with this?

Ideas?

Default Missing emails - 11-26-2005, 08:09 PM

If you are using the Blackberry Web Client (also called Blackberry Internet Service) it only checks for email every 15 minutes. If you leave Outlook running on your laptop (esp. if its set to check email more often) it may download (and delete) email from your ISP before the BWC has had a chance to check the ISP and forward the email to you. In short, if you download email to your main computer the BWC will miss some email (it will be gone when it checks your BWC) . You need to be sure to exit Outlook from your main computer if you will be away from it or you won't get all of your email forwarded to your BB handheld (Obviously, if you are using your main computer, that is not a problem)

Edit: Erased post because previous poster basically said the same thing I wrote, but was faster to post.

Thanks.... yes, that was the problem.

E-mail was set to delete from the server as soon as my laptop checked.

I changed it to delete after one day.

BB works as expected now.

Thanks again,

PB
