Default I am using ATT blue sim should I ask for new sim? - 11-27-2005, 11:17 AM

I found that the ATT blue sims work fine in the locked 8700c. I hear people are getting new ones. Should I ask for a new one? Will I run into probs with this sim?

About 6 months ago, I tried the Treo and migrated over to Cingular from AT&T. I promptly returned it and migrated back. I bought the 8700 yesterday and my account was all screwed up. After an hour and a half, the guy turned in a "trouble ticket" and sold me the 8700 with the promise the account stuff would get worked out within 72 hours.

After reading your message, I just took out my AT&T Sim out of the 7280 and plugged it into the 8700 and it worked fine. I'm getting the EDGE network as well.

One problem I had with my 7280 is that when I used applications like Pocket Day, I got data charges. I'm not sure if it was an AT&T issue or a Cingular issue, but I'm wondering if migrating to Cingular would fix that.
