Default 8700 as a modem - 11-30-2005, 10:24 AM

I'm able to use the 8700c as a modem without any problem using the same configuration I used for my 7290. However, I top out at 115kbs. It's seems that this may be a limitation of the COM port.

Any idea why some people are getting increased speeds?

Just found the FAQ, here it is
http://blackberryforums.com/showthre...ht=8700c+modem

I used "+cgdcont=1,"IP","WAP.CINGULAR": as the Extra Initialization Commands.

I also disabled Flow Control.
