Anyone recommend and killer apps for the 8700. I have Idokorro, verichat, and IM+ installed. Idokorro is much faster with EDGE.

Has worked flawlessly on the 7100. Should be getting the 8700 on Thurs but I assume it will be great on their.

Do any of your IM clients work with Yahoo?

Ok, so I followed the directions that I found for enabling WAP/TCP stuff on cingular, tried to call cingular to get the "pipeline error" to work....but still doesn't. So I can't get Verichat or anything to work...

How do i get it working? does cingular need to add something (I don't have BES, and when I tried ot call, she said the only way was to purchase media net...)

I assume you mean their WorldMate program. I wrote them already and asked and I got a response. The CS rep said a new version will be released in a few days.

Default Worldmate Professional - Working on 8700 - 12-01-2005, 10:26 AM

I have worldmate professional working on my 8700 and I did not get any new version (using same version I had on my 7290). I just needed to write them and get a new activiation code and everything worked fine. Took about 24 hours.

Not sure why they do not support it, but I had no trouble downloading it and installing it.

The reason as I was told by one of the head business reps for Cingular is that they had minor trouble with some corporations (BES) and BlackBerry Messenger...Me and almost 10 other people on my BES have no issue and never had on any carrier...they are just taking a precaution. Atleast BlackBerry lets you download it and not block all Cingular users by default

A question on BBToday:

I loaded it on my old 7280 and configued the Cingular Wap settings. I then got charged quite a bit for extra data use - Cingular kept saying I was using the BB as a modem - which I was not. Just getting the weather every once in a while.

I have seen the recommendations for settings and I have set it up successfully, but folks do not seem to have come to consensus on if you get billed for extra data still on the Cingular 8700 (orange sim) when using the BBToday. I have the BB Unlimited Plan.

Does BBtoday use the same data as the browser and is therefore unlimited? Or, do you need to pay extra every month?

Thanks.

The only two I run is the berry 411 app the blackberry messenger. We have the messenger on about 5 of the 8700c's now with no issues and BES.

I just got my 8700c today and I have added Handmarks Pocket Express with no Issues. I loved this program before, but now I really love it. The EDGE speed makes updates so quick now!!!

What version of PocketExpress did you get to work. I have it on my Treo 650. Would that work on the 8700. I went to the Handmark website and they did not have a version for Blackberry.
