Default 8703e does not copy or sync contacts during change wizard - 09-10-2009, 02:27 PM

Hello There,

I would really like some help.

i just currently switched from my Pearl to an 4.2 version of 8703e blackberry device.

I have managed to remove the IT Policy, and removed all unnecessary blocks for me.

I have also been able to copy all my emails and my BBmessenger contacts into the 8703e.

But my contacts are not copying into the 8703e, but everything else did.

Every time I tried to copy the back up file, the Blackberry manager displays a warning that reads:

The following databases could not be fully restored to your device.
Default service selector 0 of 4 entries restored, Firewall options 0 of 1 restored
The backup data file has been saved to (etc. etc.)

PLEAAAAASE HELP!!!

Ps. I inadvertedly wiped the Pearl's memory, but thank goodness there is a back up on my hard drive.

I am functioning on Windows XP, any help would be absolutely appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.

Make a backup of the previous device. Then connect the new device and try a selective restore and just restore the address book.
