Default Dual Mailboxes? - 12-09-2005, 05:40 PM

I am considering buying a 8700c and I would like it to attach to both my work email and my personal. I know you can recieve mail from more than one email account, however, do they both end up in the same mailbox? I would like to keep my personal and work email separateand in separate mailboxes. Is that doable with the 8700c from Cingular? Is it doable with 7100?

A matter of ettiquette is to always do a search first. I did a simple search using the key words: Multiple Mailboxes. This is what it returned:

Hmm, that link doesn't work but if you search yourself it will yield results.

In short, the Blackberry itself doesn't have multiple mailboxes. You can receive email from multiple accounts using BES and BWC/BIS or just via BWC/BIS. The proof is left up to the student as Tiki said.

Additionally, you can only have ONE "reply-to" address...

That is partially true. You can only have one reply-to address when using BIS, but you can have two if you're using the redirect client too. This won't work for every situation...but here's how to do it:

1. Setup Email #1 on a fixed client (ie: desktop) using the Desktop Re-director.

2. Setup Email #2 using BIS. You can add more email addresses to this one...but can only use one reply-to address for #2.

On the BB (I use an 8700c), you can select which email address you wish to send from. Using this method will only give you two options (max) to reply from.
