Exclamation 8700g Email Problem - 04-21-2006, 08:51 PM

I just got my 8700g today, moving up from my 7100. I am using BIS to connect to my work email. When I synch it with my Outlook, any email address that belongs to someone that I work with (they are on my exchange server) shows up as the full exchange path. Example:

email address is and the blackberry should show:
[email address]

it shows this in the BlackBerry Address book:
/o=Exchange Mail/ ou=AMR Group/cn=Recipients/cn=joe.smith

This didnt happen with my 7100. Help Please!

That /o address is only recognizable by the exchange server at your particular work. The .com address is known as SMTP and can be sent from anywhere. You want to add an SMTP address for yourself in the server. Sometimes it is removed so you don't get emails fro the outside.

Yeh..what I dont get is why it worked on my 7100 but when I synch my new 8700 with the exact same outlook, it pulls the exchange server email rather than the smtp address. What I want to do is fix it w/o having to go into each entry and changing it. But when I look at the address card in outlook for those contacts, it does show the [email address] address
