Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I have an 8700 with the same problem. I solved the offending slippage by cutting a post-it note in half and then folded one of the cut pieces in half and taped it to the battery door. Now when I put the battery door back on it fits snug. No more slippage. :o) good luck.

I had the same problem . . . I was very disappointed to see such horrible build quality . . . Then my c,v, and b keys stopped functioning all-together. . . So i took her back to the TMobile store and they promptly gave me a replacement. This one seems to be built much better - no loose battery door, no loose keys . . . Im verrrrry happy with this device over all

I folded a business card in half and placed over the battery. Now you can't move the cover if you tried!

Got my 8700g on Wednesday. Battery door and everything else is solid. This is a great unit!

I had to do that with my treo, the battery door on that one was loose.

Mine is pretty solid, moves maybe a millimeter up and down, don't notice it.

I have both the C & G and both have a solid battery door and no movement at all.

I used a light and thin foam on top of the battery. It feels real nice when that battery door doesn't move.
