Default Will My e-mail download anyway?? - 04-25-2006, 09:18 AM

Guys if one of you would answer this that would be great, I think I know the answer But I'm not sure. I have a BB and a razr, i use the BB mainly when I travel and every afternoon when i'm out of the Office, usually on the golf course when i should be working. My question is this if i leave my BB OFF completely for lets say a week but am at my main desktop recieveing all my e-mails daily and I am using BIS, once my outlook downloads (POP3) them to my inbox once i turn my BB back on & days later will i have several hundred e-mails on Berry or will i not because they have been downloaded off the main server. I have my outlook settings to not leave a copy on the server. I ask this really for my Boss who has the adverse problem with his treo, leaves it off for days at a time and when he turns it on all 500 or so e-mails that he already read DL tot he treo as well???? Thanks for the help...

Unless you've got a rule in Outlook to forward the mail, then no.

Yes and no. Because your Outlook is removing messages of the server it will only be able to grab some of the email. Whatever it manages to beat Outlook to/when Outlook is off will queue waiting for the handheld to come back on the network, up to seven days worth of email. So if you were to modify your leave a copy of message on server then you could turn your handheld off for a week and still get all your emails.

Right, it's all a matter of how many days you leave your message on the server in the POP3 settings.
