I just bought the 8700g from rxGuy on the boards here. I am sure that when I get it all I have to do is pop in the sim card and Im done right? I dont need to set up my email and all that do I?

Yes you will have to setup your email accounts. If your on BES you will need to re-activate. If your on BIS, you will need to log into the BIS website and change the PIN and IMEI number and then resend your service books.

I thought all I had to do was swap the sim cards and restart. I guess I was wrong. Im sure you know better though. Thanks for the info. And yes we have the BES for Tmobile

Swapping sim cards will allow you to use the phone functions, sms, web browser, etc... but you need to change your handheld's pin/imei on BIS or re activate on BES if you want to recieve your emails on the new handheld. Once that's done send out a mass pin to all your contacts and inform them of your new pin. Enjoy the new BlackBerry.

When I first have my 8700G, tombile told me to key in #686# send to register the sim/phone.

Ill try the #686# send first then Ill have to get the office to make the switch because I dont have the account number to make changes. Hope it works without have the office to make the switch because they dont know what they are doing with them.
