Default Anyone else purchased the 8700g TMobile Leather Case - 04-30-2006, 10:03 PM

Has anyone else purchased the leather case for the 8700g from TMobile and noticed the phone turns off - on - off as you slide it in the case because of the magnet on the flap and in the case?

The leather aftermarket one that TMobile sells for $19.99. It has a little Tmobile emblem on the magnetic flap. I think it's a much better case than the plastic launcher it comes with. The double turn off is the only thing that bugs, and that's not even that serious.

i tried the case on but it doesnt seem like the magnet flip completly closes on top and the speaker on the back is fully covered so you cant hear the ring. nicely paded though

Yeah, I almost got one until I put the 8700 in it and noticed that the closure flap/magnet piece was sticking out and only half way closed. Looked like the closure flap is a bit too short (and perhaps too stiff) to allow it to wrap around top of case/8700 and let magnet securely fasten with case front. Would be a nice case but for this.

Oh that is gross looking!
Get a milante case for full coverage or a siedo holster for your 8700g and you will be happy like I am. The only drawback to the milante is the magnet is a centimeter off but if you lock your key pad before holstering it you're fine.
