Default Received replacement BB8700c, need to reload e-mail - 05-02-2006, 01:16 AM

Hello everyone. My current 8700c had issues so Amazon sent another one out to me and I have received it. I decided to install all my apps and misc from scratch instead of restoring a backup. I have one problem though: Can I get all my e-mail that's stored in my BIS account back on to my BB? My provider is Cingular and when I login to their BIS, all my e-mail messages are there but my handheld isn't receiving them (or BIS isn't sending them). I did do the PIN and IMEI change so everything is good to go. Both service books were received by my handheld so I can browse the internet and so on. Is this just something that can't be done by design? I've search the whole forum but it just turns up with a bunch of reconciliation topics. Please help!

Best regards,
Chris

a restore should reload all SMS and Email that was previously on your device.

Corey, you mean doing a restore of a backup that was from my previous device? If yes then too late, I deleted the backups that were associated with my previous device. I'm getting the feeling that BIS doesn't work backwards, only forward. Anyone? I desperately need help on this. I've been working on this the last 3-4 hours now. Whoever gets this resolved will get a beer, or two, or three, or how many you want!

Great Scott! I'm such an idiot. I still have my previous device as I'm waiting for Amazon to send me a return shipping label and I haven't done a wipe yet (I was THIS close to doing it too). I'll just do a backup from my old device and restore it on to my new device. You can enter your "Chris, you're such a ________" comments below. I should just myself from all existence.
