Default 8700c ringer volume? - 05-06-2006, 11:03 PM

I've created a few new profiles on my 8700c - one is called Noisy - i turned off all vibrate options on the device, whether in the holster or not. I've also turned the volume of the ringer to High, however when the phone rings, it rings at a very VERY low volume. How can I get this thing to ring loud?!?!?! It used to ring very loud, all of a sudden its low?

Thanks for any help.

Its a bug.

Make a call. Put it on speakerphone and turn up the volume on the speakerphone. For some reason the last known volume setting on speakerphone will be your ringewr volume! I know its silly but thats the facts =)

You could upgrade your OS to Bharti or Telestra to fix that volume bug.

My 8700c was going to go back if it wasn't for the Bharti upgrade (big ups to seattle18). I use my speakerphone a fair amount and always have to turn the volume down because it is too loud and there is no way I would remember to turn it back up after the call was done.

Bharti fixed that issue as well as improved some other things. Well worth the 30 minutes or so to read the instructions and complete the upgrade.

Now there is a newer OS than Bharti, if interested. Check the link in my sig.

Press the speakerphone key when using the phone. It is also the $ key on the bottom right.
