Default Hard reset 8700 - 05-09-2006, 02:25 PM

Does a periodic hard reset of the 8700c do any damage to the device? I have to do this once a week to make it switch from GSM to EDGE.

Thanks!

That doesn't sound too good (the fact that it slides off EDGE). That actually happened to me with the 8700g where the network just dropped. I reinstalled the OS and it fixed the issue. I doubt that doing hard resets hurts the phone if you do it weekly though. It's probably good for it, just like a computer. Turn it off or restart to clear out the memory, etc..

Unless it causes loosening of the battery door, I would say it's all upside.
