I have setup 5 8700V handsets to use BES 4, attached to our Exchange 2003 SP2 server, and everything appears to work fine, however, when you start moving, deleting and filing mail on your Outlook 2003 mailbox, the messages are still staying on the handheld.

Wireless reconcil is enabled, and even using the latest Desktop Manager, which goes through all the motions of synching everything, the messages still stay. Voda support got me to remove the Desktop Sync service book, and then flag the account on BES Manager to re-send all service books, and talked me through on my handset -- very briefly it worked partially, and now i am back to square one. Biggest problem, is fixing the other handsets, as our directors get a lot of mail, and its stuck on the handset (do not want to have to delete it all manually).

I think you need to re-define "deleting and filing mail". The BES only monitors mail within the users mailboxes but as soon as you start shift-deleting e-mails, or moving them to a different mailbox/PST file, the BES 'doesn't understand' where the message went and hence it remains on display in the Blackberry.

As long as you file or delete-to-trashcan within the same mailbox, the BES can correctly track the message and should hide it if it's being moved to an un-monitored folder.

As Ook said, all your Outlook folders must be online, as BlackBerry works on a 'follow the email' basis. If the email has been moved from the inbox to a personal folder then BES won't know what to do with it, hense nothing happens.

I believe what you need to do is choose "Wireless Reconcile" on the date line above where it displays the messages. I can change messages in my mail box but those changes won't carry over unless I select reconcile on my blackberry

For me this does happen automagically. Doesn't happen as soon as I perform the message-move, but it does reconcile the read/unread-state and any moved/deleted messages every ~ 15 mins or so.
