Default Shortcut for bluetooth on/off ? - 05-13-2006, 10:48 PM

Hi,

Is there a way of setting the convenience keys to turn bluetooth on/off ? There isnt an option in the list, just the option to go to the options menu and then i have to manually scroll to bluetooth.

Be nice to be able to toggle this from a single key.

Thanks

Just move the bluetooth icon to the number 1 position and then you dont have to go scrolling as much.

go to options, then scroll down to and select screen/keyboard, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and there u can set the convenience keys to whatever you want. I have the side button to open my profiles and the front to turn bluetooth on and off

One thing you do have to do first is pair something to it - than it shows up in the menus and is an option for a shortcut key

Also, once it's paired with something and you go to set the convenience key to it, note that it's not listed alphabetically under "Bluetooth". It's listed under "T" for "Turn Bluetooth ON/OFF".

That took me a while to notice. I have my side con key assigned to it.

Default Where did my bluetooth icon go??? - 06-21-2006, 01:11 PM

I just hung up with blackberry support and they are telling me my 8700 model never had a icon on the main page for bluetooth but I swear it did.

It is gone now and not hidden!

Please help,

Andrea

Reestablish the connection between the BB and your Bluetooth headset and it will magically reappear.

Default Thanks - 06-21-2006, 01:20 PM

Thank you! I knew it was once there and BB support says no.

Now, I'm not talking about the tiny bluetooth sign up at the top of the screen up by the date and time but rather an actual ICON on the main page...correct?

Right. After you successfully pair the headset and the BB the BT icon will reappear on the home screen.
