Default basic question about dialing with letters - 05-23-2006, 04:54 PM

is there any way to see the letters that are on a normal phone on the screen of the BB?

by this i mean if i am trying to call 1-888-cingular and i dont know the number off hand can i do this with out looking at a diff. phone?

Try using the <alt> key in a numeric field to get the letters.

Donna is right. To clarify her answer, when in the phone app just hold the alt key and then type the letters (for example "Go-Fedex"). That will input the correct numbers.
