newbie help needed.

i have searched the various messages but still cant find the help i need

i have had my 8700 for about 5 weeks now on t-mobile and i still havent really put any programs etc on it

however i hae 2 questions :

1. i have some small mp3 files that i wish to download, i have a cradle holder connected to the phone for my outlook calender but do not know how to transfer the mp3 file etc, and after 2 hours searching this forum really need some help now

2. are there any programs/installations i should download first before i use my phone 'properly' ?

Question 1: You are unable to file transfer mp3's from computer to BB. You would need to download them froma website.

Question 2: All the software and programs built in to your BB will make you phone work properly

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You can't transfer MP3 files. Try saving them to a webspace then download them to the BB

Go here: http://www.coolservice.dk/en/compatibilities.php

upload the file, it will tell you where to go with your browser on the 8700, enter the numeric code and download, a music player will appear on the blackberry screen, click the track wheel and save it. It will appear with your ringtones.

Heh NJBlackberry,

Kind of miss seeing Corey @ 12 mile and DAWG beating the MFTP drum.

Good to see it again!

I'm pretty sure MFTP ain't multisource file transmission protocol. And I'm pretty sure I can guess what the F means. Help me with the rest?

Monitor First Ten Posts, or use the search button and look for MFTP.

Hope this helps.
