Default Free 8700 from Cingular/RIM just Arrived - 05-25-2006, 10:16 AM

My Free 8700 for downloading BES Express just arrived. Haven't seen any additional terms/paperwork with it. Looks like as long as it's activated (new account or not) by June 5th, all the requirements will be met. Anyone heard any differently?

I think they filled out a RIM survey and mark Cingular as their prefered carrier. The first 100 or so to do this got a free 8700. DAMN YOU T-MOBILE!!!

Doug

Need a screenshot? ... Like JavaLoader?

The first 500 people to download BES Express and select Cingular as provider were offered an 8700.

Nope. I was using a 7290 from Cingular. I simply from my SIM card from the 7290 to the new 8700c. Everything worked great. I then called Cingular to update my account information (IEME).
