First-- does BB provide a spellcheck function when sending e-mails?
Second-- there is no notification at the bottom of my e-mails that I am sending from a blackberry handheld when I send an e-mail. Do I have to add this to my signature to make this happen? I want to let people know that I'm using my BB cuz I am prone to mistakes and overall brevity.

No it doesn't but do a google search online for BBSpell or BlackBery Spell. I don't remember the link for it.

To set up a signature, go to your wireless carrier's site, log into your account and choose setup internet email. There should already be a signature along the lines of "Sent From My Wireless BlackBerry Handheld" in the sgnature section of your other accounts. If not, add this or whatever signature you prefer. Or, when you compose your messages, choose [Default] or your BB email address as the "From" address before you compose the message. Hope this helps.

You can also use auto text to set up different signatures. For example my work signature is "Sent wirelessly from my BlackBerry handheld. (Please excuse the brevity and possible typos.)" I have added this to my auto text so when i type SWFMBB it auto corrects that to the above signature. This way you can choose what signature you use with each email you send. AUTO TEXT (Options-->AutoText-->click the track wheel and select new)
