Default system software not shown in app. loader - 05-29-2006, 11:01 PM

hey,

i was going to wipe my BB back to factory settings and i went to app loader and it says this:
No system software was found for your device
COntact your system administrator or service provider
fo information on obtaining device system software

what should i do? i uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop software and that didnt work

Did you install the handheld software?

i soft wiped my BB and that still didnt work

You have to install the Handheld OS software along with your desktop manager software onto your computer before the desktop manager will recognize the handheld software.

i downloaded the handheld BlackBerry_Handheld_Software_v2[1].7a, and ran it, same thing. Should i try uninstalling everything then reinstalling the handheld software first before the desktop software?

and even after you install the handheld software...you might need to restart your computer...before u can the see the handheld software in the desktop manager

I dunno what software you had download, uninstall it and download this tmo official one for 8700g.
