Default Message Options - 06-12-2006, 10:03 AM

I am trying to make some changes to my email on my 8700. The help screen always tells you to go to the "message options". I have looked and looked and can't find the starting point of message options to make any changes.

If you can tell where to start I should be able to finish my changes.

Thanks

Default I did that - 06-12-2006, 10:20 AM

I have gone to the options screen and the only thing listed that starts with m is MMS their is not message options in the line up.

Am I missing something?

I have only:

About
Advanced Options
Auto On/Off
Auto Text
Bluetooth
Date/Time
Language
MMS
Network
Owner
Screen/keyboard
Security Options
SMS
Status
Theme

No, you didn't do that. You didn't listen to joec's answer. I repeat it with appropriate boldfacing: From the Messages Screen , click the trackwheel and scroll down to "Options"

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

While in the message app click track wheel and scroll down to options.

If I go to the messages section an open the application. I am then to the screen with the sent/received emails. I click the tract wheel and and scroll to options. From their I have two options.

Heading "Message Options":

General Options
Email Reconciliation

It does not give the option to filter emails or change auto sig even if I open up the two folders. Im I in the right place.

Both those functions are on Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) with your service provider, not on your handheld. You have to log on to BIS with your computer on the Internet.

I had this problem with T-Mobile on BIS in the UK. I was only able to change the account settings by logging on to the internet. The T-Mobile BlackBerry helpdesk was able to have relevant settings sent to me via updates to the service books. I can now access email account settings from the handheld too.
