Default Text editing with 8700g - 06-18-2006, 07:47 AM

Hello,

I just bought by device and was struggling with test editing.

My first problem was to be able to go to a specific word/character in the text and change it or delete it. I am looking for an arrow key that I can use to navigate inside the line. The thumb wheel does a great job of scrolling vertically but I do not know how to take the cursor in the middle of the sentence/word to insert/delete something.

The question is - How to use arrow keys? How can I achieve the above?

Thank you,

Pradeep

Default Thanks - 06-18-2006, 07:58 AM

Hi HuwSy,

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.

There is a key "Num" on 8700g. I thougt it was num lock but there does not seem to be any num lock function.

How do you do num lock when adding text if you know there will be a lot of numbers to enter?

Thanks again

Pradeep.

Do follow stinsonddogs advice and check out his TIPS Site. But to answer this question, press ALT then NUM and you have Num Lock, NUM is the Left Shift when pressed alone and the Num Lock when pressed in conjunction with ALT.

Hope this helps
