Default How do I setup GMail forwarding correctly? - 06-18-2006, 12:15 PM

I recently purchased a BlackBerry 8700c and used the Blackberry Internet Server to forward my Gmail account to the phone. My question now is when the emails are forwarded to my phone, they also appear as text messages? I receive the email and text in separate folders and wanted to know if there is a solution to eliminate this problem. Thanks

Yes that is the way it is. If you compose an email using the gmail folder, it will default using the gmail address. If you do it from the inbox, it will default to Desktop and you would have to select "Gmail or whatever you named your account as".
