Default Accepting Calendar items? - 06-18-2006, 03:37 PM

I recently upgraded form a 7290 to an 8700g and when I get a meeting announcement via email there is no way to accept or decline the meeting and add it to the calendar?? Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

I don't have this isue. I open the invite, click the wheel, and I can accept, tentative or decline, each with or without comments.

I can't remember if I have the problem with new appointments, but I noticed that I have the problem with updated appointments- I don't get the option to update, I have to wait until I'm back in the office to accept.

Default Calendar Itemson 8700g - 06-18-2006, 04:40 PM

My old 7290 used to be the same way, I could accpet, decline or reply as tentative with comments, not so on the 8700g.... I have 2 other firends with the same issue and they can't resolve it either......

I have fixed my problem today, here's what I did...

1) Checked CDO.DLL version on both Exchange & BES servers (BES has to be the same or higher version that Exchange)

2) Checked that the "Blackberry Admin" account has deligated access on the Exchange Server & also the the account is listed under "security" for the exchange server (if that makes sense)

3) Deleted all Service bookes & resent from BES

4) Did a kind of Enterprise Activation (there is a way of turning wireless sync off & on from within the Enterprise Activation screen)

Blackberry is now fully working again & I am able to Accept Appointments & also Accept meeting updates too.

For info, I am running BES 4.1 on a W2K3 Server with SP1 and Echange 2K3 SP1 on a Windows 2K3 Server with no SP
