Exclamation ACT! Tasks - 06-19-2006, 09:00 PM

I have a BB 8700 running 4.1 and when I run Intellisync it appears to download all calendar items and tasks from ACT, but when I look at the calendar on the device, it only shows "meetings" not "calls" or "appointments". Also, it appears to only show items that were entered onto the calendar with my Palm Pilot and not items that were put onto the desktop directly.

Am I missing a setting? Right now I have to continue to use my Palm for it's calendar and can use my BB for contacts (works perfect in that regard) and email/phone.

Unless you are running ACT 4.0, you will have to use a 3rd party sync package to do it correctly. We use Companion Link and it works great!

Yeah, what he said^^^.

The ACT/BB combo is not going to knock your socks off. The BB Contact Manager in general is, in my opinion, it's weakest point. I was a Palm/ACT combo user for 4 years and loved it- especially when they came out with ACT for Palm. The BB is so far advanced in everything else I need it for I have given up the great CM capabilities of Palm.

If I had one thing I could change it would be to have an "ACT for BB" as I am in sales and everything I do revolves around ACT for me.

That said, go with companionlink for your sync.
