Default 8700v assistance please! - 06-20-2006, 03:41 PM

I've just received my bnib 8700v which I purchased from a seller on eBay. The unit was shipped over from the U.K. Upon inserting my sims (I am with both Rogers and Fido) it indicates an 'invalid sim'! When I purchased the unit it was advertised as unlocked. Is there anyway to have this unit unlocked without having to incur too much more expense? Thanks in advance.

Yet another burned by eBay... You can search unlock or unlocking and have a host of info you can try. Yes it will cost you $45-$80 US and from what I've seen most source have only been able to unlock the 8700c out of all the 8700 devices. You might want to contact the seller and request a refund? Good luck!
