Default Sent email question - 06-29-2006, 10:14 AM

I just noticed this (probably because I never looked) but when creating a new email from the messages folder, if it is to someone not in my address book, the sent from address is my mycingular.blackberry.net address which I don't use. Otherwise, it is my regular email address.

Is there a setting forcing it to use one address or another? I can't find it.

You can try BBreply. That might solve your issue.

If you have email accounts configured in the BIS you can select which email address to send from. In Compose, there should be a "Send Using" line at the top of the new message. Click and select what address you want.

In addition, as I just learned today, Options, Advanced Option, Message Services lets you choose the default service for people that you have not emailed under BIS 2.0. Once you choose a different address, it will remember that for the individual.
