I use 2. I have a jabra SP500 which is a speaker phone I use in the car and a motorola HS850. Both are great and are priced less than $100 each.

i WORK FOR CINGULAR AND I SEE THAT THE MOST POPULAR AND BEST TO USE IS THE PLANTRONICS EXPLORER 320. IT COMES IWTH ITS OWN CHARGING UNIT WHICH IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE CHARGER THAT THE BB USES FOR BOTH CAR AND HOME. AND IT ALSO CHARGES ON A BATTERY UNIT WHEN POWER IS NOT AVAILABLE. EVERYONE I WORK WITH USES IT. ALSO LIGHTWEIGHT AND EASY TO USE

I use the Motorola H700, got it for $46 last week, its a great headset!

I use the Plantronics Voyater 510 after testing several Motorola headsets and the new Jabra headset (digital). I like the 510 because it is comfortable for hours (the others kind of pinched my ear after a while) and the volume control is great. It is easy to hear in noisy environments without having to push it deeper into one's ear (something I had to do with the other models). The battery life is good enough that I fully charge it then travel for 3-4 days without any charger at all; however, understand that I mainly use it when in a car and don't talk all day on it.

I agree with Adeel, the Motorola H700 works wonderfully.

NxZen 5500 Plus is a BAD choice

I have the Motorola HS820 and 850 and the Jabra BT-250V. The Jabra is my promary as it fits behind my ear and vibrates when I get an incoming call. I always have the bB on vibrate as I hate tohear cell phones ring, no matter what the setting is.

Motorola HS700 works great with my 8700c. No complaints here. Great sound, good features and options. Mute is my favorite especially when on a telelconference around a loud area. I know there's a mute button on the BB but I don't like fumbling with the BB while I am on the phone.

I will not even read the previous posts. I am telling you the best headset is moto h700. It is mega clear and loud if needed. I have used many and keep going back to h700. By the way F**k Jabra and Plantronics headsets. If you use or like them you are a dullard.

Don't overlook the new Nokia BH-800. For me far, far better than the H700 and not nearly as fragile as the Jx-10 (which is a great headset other than that). This thing is LOUD!

Having used the h700 in the past, you guys are missing out. The plantronics 510 voyager is by far superior in noise cancellation and range to the h700. The main advantages of the h700 is the size and the ability to use the same charger as the bb8700. The 510 has much louder incoming volume and because it sits in your ear, it easier to hear in louder environments. Also, the noise cancellation is superior. Bottom line, if you need a serious headset to conduct business, then this is the way to go.

I have used the Moto H500 and I was happy with it. It is basic but it delivers. I see a lot of people with the H700. Now I use the Nextlink Bluespoon AX2 and for the money ($49.00 or less) it is excellent. It is very light (10 grams). Almost too light. And the way it fits on the ear is excellent. But the best feature is the battery life. I have been on three hour conference calls with it and no issues. Afterwards it charged backed up in less than 30 minutes. Also, it has a lanyard that plugs into the charging port (mini USB) so you can wear it around your neck. Makes it easier to carry around. My two cents.

Guess I'm a dullard. The Plantronics 640 Discovery is the best BT headset around, bar none. I've never had an issue with it in answering a call or providing superior sound quality. It's an awesome little gem of technology.

I will 2nd that, been using mine for a couple of days. Good sound quality, battery life is great. Know there is a new model 645 out that I guess uses Digital Sound for even better sound quality. But not sure how much better it could be? But that also means you can probably pick up the 640 for less since in stores since the 645 is now out. Generally cost much less than $100.00.

I have a Jabra BT800 that I'm pretty fond of. Good sound quality and a little LED screen that has caller ID. My friends swear by the Plantronics headsets.

I don't think it makes sense to go out and purchase the 640 now when the 645 is available. Unless saving a few dollars is a really big concern, in which case I'd suggest someone not even bother with the 640/645 and go with something like the 510 which is much more economically affordable.

I just can't see buying last year's model when the newer, better version is already out.

Dude, I ordered this item SPECIFICALLY because I loved the idea of using the same charger as my 8700c - guess what? It's NOT the same! It is ANOTHER charger different from everything else which I'm gonna have to carry around. Thanks....

Just an FYI here:

Just because the peg fits the hole doesnt mean its compatible.

For instance using a v3 charger on your BB will cook the battery, proven fact.

Do yourselves a favor and just purchase the correct device-specific equipment. Dont mix and match your broke-ass Wal-Mart $5 accessory with a $500 device. Pay the extra couple bucks and get the real deal.
