Exclamation 8700v: problem and it's not the SIM card - 07-02-2006, 07:02 AM

I have a Blackberry 8700v.
Last night, it worked. This morning it didn't. It only works on SOS for emergency calls. At first, I thought it was the SIM card, but i switched with another one, from another network, and it still does not work.

So I came to the conclusion that it's the Blackberry. But what could I do?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

I checked with my operator. There are no problems.
My SIM card works in another phone, and I tried to use another SIM card in the BB, and it doesn't work. So, it has to be the Blackberry.
(and it's a new BB!)

The SOS emergency calls usually only come up when you turn on a phone without a SIM card in it. Maybe there's a hardware problem with the connection between the SIM card port and the phone.
