Default TMob & YIM (cant sign in) - 07-03-2006, 10:03 AM

for DAYS now ive been unable to sign into Yahoo Instant Messenger.
never gets passed the 20% "sending request to Yahoo!"...
ive confirmed the password (never changed it & have connected before).

It fails w/ "communications error. Please try again or check your settings"
(im EDGE connected) and my signal quality is very good (strong).

Im not having any other problems (3 email accounts, pin/sms messages & browsing all work)

wondering if anyone has any suggestions or has had simular problems.

Interestingly enough ive discovered the problem:

the other day I changed my SMS Setting "Network to Send Over:"
to GPRS from GPRS Preferred....once i switch it back (to "GPRS Preferred")
it signs right on & works perfectly fine.
