Default Backlight when reading messages - 07-03-2006, 04:34 PM

When using my 8700c, I noticed that on occassion, the light will dim when I am reading emails or if I am on the home screen, and other times, it stays nice and bright. How do I control this? I have the option on brightness set to 100, but it dims down a little on it's own. Thanks for the help.

Do you have the AUTO brightness option turned on?

If so, turn it off.

Look under Options - Screen/Keyboard. On my 8700C the On Off for auto brightness is there.

Not an option on the 7100 series, only the 8700 at this time.

When it dims, just tap the on/off switch once. That will bring it up to 100%+.
