Default Bis 1.8/2.0 - 07-03-2006, 05:44 PM

I am a noob, but could not find specific answers to the following questions by using search. Here goes:

I recently purchased an 8700c, and my provider is Cingular. How can I tell which version of BIS I am running since I purchased after the upgrade was made an option?

Secondarily, I have seen posts where the data usage for the current month is pulled and posted. How can I bring this up along with the full details of my voice and data plans:

I.E.

Data current month 1089k

BBRYBISUNL 29.99
Taxes 7.00
450Family 39.99

This is how the screens I am seeking look.

Finally if I choose to switch to BIS 2.0 only and pay for the Personal Unlimited Use Plan at 29.99, is there a penalty if I switch to BES a few months later if my corporate email switches?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would assume that all new accounts will be on BIS 2.0. Eventually all existing BIS 1.8 accounts will be converted over to BIS 2.0, so its probably a moot point as to which one your currently.

Most of the people posting data usage are those with Rogers Wireless. They are posting this info because Rogers doesn't have (or didn't have) a true unlimited data plan. Since your on a true unlimited plan with Cingular, how much you use doesn't make much difference. I could tell you how to determine the usage if you were on T-Mobile, but I don't know how to do it on Cingular.
