For those of you familar with the Treo you probably rememeber the very useful application "Butler."

One of the nice features of Butler was the "nag" option where the device would sound an audio alert for missed calls and continue to do so until the until was touched. This is especially useful for devices where the screen turns off completely making it hard to know if a missed call notification is sitting on the screen (unless you use the LED) or turn on the screen every so often to check.

Well today I stumbled across "Missed Call Notifier." It looks like it's new, maybe I just haven't seen it before.

Anyone using this application? I'll give it a whirl today but wanted to hear some feedback from others as well.

Ehh. I've managed just fine without it. No sense in paying for something that I don't really care to have.

Coincedentally, I had finally got around to installing it tonight and it seems to work pretty good for my needs.I need to give it a couple of days to form an opinion.
btw, I have the 7250 (vzn).

I first developed this app as I saw a few complaints about missed calls. Basically this application sits in the background and when you miss a call (device creates new missed call log) the application pops up displaying a list of call(s) missed. Also the device plays a repeating ringer you setup in your profiles (choose ringtone). You cancel the ringer by removing blackberry from holster or hitting a key/trackwheel on the app.

Anyways version 2.0 adds a few new features including a 3 day trial version (separate download required for full version). Also there are options to mark the missed calls as read for those who don't like seeing the envelope on the status ribbon. A callback option to return calls you miss from inside the program.

Version 2.0 doesn't provide notification for missed SMS or email... see link in above reply to download.

Let me know if you have any questions or new addition requests for people who have purchased.

Yes feel free to request any upgrades you feel would improve the program. I would suggest a trial if you want to try the missed call functionality, this is the basic feature of the app... so if you think it is worth 7.99 that's up to you I guess.
Requests have been made for missed email and sms so that may happen in a future release.
Upgrades are free but I believe the Handango upgrade notification system is broken so you might have to check periodically.

Strange as this may sound, I'd like to have a way to turn off the OS's built-in missed-call notification.
