Default *&!^@%$*$# Scratch - 07-19-2006, 10:43 AM

I scratched the display on my phone and wondered if anyone had a good way to fix it.

its not deep or even significant but it is right in the middle of the screen and throws a bit of a prism when viewing a certain angle...just happens to be the angle at which i do most of my reading.

would toothpaste or some other type of light polish work to buff the scratch out?

am I the only one that think scratches give it character?

There's nothing worse to me than having what looks like a "new" blackberry.

Everyone thinks you're a rook.

Well I wish then to be rook for a long long time.
The best solution to a screen scratch is not to get it in the first place. Two words: Screen Patronus.

I have used both Diplex and Screen Patronus prodcuts ( the Disples was for before I wised up and sprung for some screen protection). Both outstanding, and highly recommended.

Default What works on plastic scratches? The fix - 07-20-2006, 10:38 PM

I have been an auto detailer for years and the best thing I have found for removing scratches and oxidation from plastics is Mothers brand Mag & Aluminum polish. Yes, it makes your plastic lenses on you car clear again, and it should if used very sparingly help deminish the scratch on your display. Its worth a try. Toothpaste is really quite abrasive an may leave more behind.

Regards,
Mark

The toothpaste will make it smell nice and give it some character.
