Default Icon -what Is It? - 07-19-2006, 08:21 PM

on my 8700g i get icons above the normal mail received icon. It looks like an envelope wth an arrow pointing downwards in it- like something is being downloaded. It sometimes has a 1 or 2 next to it (as in multiple downloads) but what does it mean how can i get rid of it?

Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, that means that you have some information that was pushed to your phone like push weather or something...check push services on the mobile.blackberry.com page and unsubscribe to a push service...hope this helps

It could be a browser notification. If I go out of coverage while I'm surfing, I'll get the option to 'Save Request'. As soon as I'm back in coverage I get a notification that the page is available again.

From what you say, I think it's telling you that you weather info has been updated since you last looked. It should go away after you open the Weather App. Don't know if your Weather App has an option to turn off notifications.

Hope this helps.
