Default No Email on My 8700g! - 07-20-2006, 02:45 PM

I just got my 8700g yesterday and it won't Sync with my gmail. POP is enabled, and it is totally set up properly. I get to the "you have successfully set up"and "you should begin receiving new messages in approximately 20 minutes and then that's it! Any suggestions?

Look at the top section of the BlackBerry screen. Does it show GPRS or EDGE?

I presume you have a BlackBerry Data Plan set up on your account?

do you have your Gmail popping to say OUtlook? if so you can't get it by POP on your handheld (Gmail allows email to POP only once)

try disabling POP access; saving; then enablinhg form this point on only - as Gmail stops popping messages once there are about 400 messages on the pop server

hope this helps
