i found something out.. if u are on rogers.. and u choose the rogers player.. they charge u 5$ per month.. so just go to the second link and download the OTA2 for other Carriers.. and they just charge for Data which is normal.. since i have a Rogers Data Demo Line.. then it works perfectly fine.. but i wonder if the rogers edition of the program has more clips

i just tried to download a 37sec clip ... took a long time.. too bad it cant live stream .. it has to download and then play ans their servers are really slow..

I am on Cingular and I was able to download the 37 sec clip and play it.

Was kind of cool. The download took awhile, glad I started off with the smaller clip.

I will download the larger one later.

Quality wasn't all that great, but hey, video on my bb is sooo cool.

Maybe other carriers/news stations will adopt this soon, I would love to see local news clips. It's a beginning.

When you're browsing the clips, click the wheel and select Archived Clips - there's another 5 clips there.

Neat for the Gee Whiz factor, but found it a bit choppy on my 8700 (which I assume is the best platform available for this!). It will be short lived on my BB unless there's more interesting content.

Has anyone figured out what file format / codec it's using and/or if you could play a video from within the standard browser?

Just a wild a** guess but I suspect this app could be a real battery drainer.

And yes I downloaded the on for Bell/Telus

I was told by a rogers rep that the $5 a month gives you unlimted use of the BBTV and does not count towards your data allowence each month.

No one says you have to watch video allllll the time...

The codec/compression/software must be pretty poor. I'm able to stream low-res video when I'm tethered...

That's true. Many of us at the office had the $5 option added to our accounts today.

The novelty will wear off soon, once your friends are like...I wanna see that clip! And you say...okay, just wait 10 minutes while I download it.

The battery drain isn't too bad, but memory leak is awful!

yea, there is an option for full screen, but it just gets rid of the outer layer, and dosnt expand the clip to the entire screen. If sombod knows how to make it take up the entire screen from corner to corner, please let me know

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/2.0 (compatible; MSIE 3.02; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

The worst part is that the 'clip info' doesn't actually contain the date and time of the clip. And since the 'Browse Clips' list doesn't seem to be in order...its a little frustrating. So, I have to actually download the clip to see if its the newest or not. They definately need to fix that!

T-Mobile 8320 (Unlocked, of course) and 7100t (backup, weekends and when I need to wear the tux!)
