Default How to turn down keypad tones?? - 09-16-2006, 02:24 PM

I can't figure how to turn down or actually turn OFF the keypad tones. When I am dialing, I don't need to hear that tone. Thanks.

Even if the key tone (screen / keyboard options) is OFF, when you dial you will still hear a tone!

Don't think you can turn down. I have mine off completely. Go to options>screen/keyboard>key tone and switch to off

kwang98131, albeit you have it off, don't you still hear something when you dial a number?

Somebody at BB goofed... You absolutely can't turn OFF the keyboard sound. So, I was in a meeting, the phone on vibrate, and I went to put in a phone number off of power point, dee dee dohh dohh. The manager asked me what I was doing and it was a little embarassing. This is a little silly that they can't go silent!

i agree it is a flaw, especially if you have a belt clip and you are trying to be sly checking your messages in a meeting and when you accidentally press one of the number keys! the way to avoid this of course though is to turn off dial from home screen.. but even still..
