Default issue of "hide sent message" option - 09-27-2006, 06:29 PM

It seems like something wrong of my device or setting.

I have set the hide sent message option to Yes. It does hide the sent message. However, when I rebooted the BB after I uninstalled a software, the option is set to Yes but I can see my sent msg.

I have to go back to the message / email, then change the setup to No, save it, then change it to Yes, save it back. Then it would hide the sent-msg.

Is it a better way to handle this situation? i have done it few times today already.

Try re-sending your service books.

i noticed whenever I had to do a reboot (either full power down, or remove battery). the hidden-sent-mail has showned again even thought with the "Hide Sent Mail" option is set to "Yes".

Any ideas how I can fix it?

This use to happen to me all the time on my 7290. It seems like it happened about once a week or so, and not necessarily after the device was rebooted. I always assumed it had something to do with the default settings on my Firm's IT policy.

However, it hasn't happened since I upgraded to a 7130c in June.

since i do not use the BES, i do not think the issue on my 8700g is because of the IT policy.

it is annoying. sometime the hidden email msgs just show up without reboot.

good point. however, i think i would want to keep a copy in my bb in case i need to "forward" or "resend" it out. plus, i am lazy to delete them.
