Default Unlocking TIM 8700g - 10-31-2006, 02:08 AM

If someone can help me, I really appreciate this. My brother played with my blackberry 8700g, and he locked the phone with a code, but he didn't remember. How can I unlock it?

Wirelessly posted (8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Sounds like he set a password. Unless he knows it you will need to do an OS wipe as the phone will not become unlocked unless you know the code. Sorry!

If you do not know the password, after you type an incorrect password 10 times, all customer data will be wiped out. I hope you have a backup

Enter the code wrong 10 times, sync with your PC, and then kick your brothers a%@. That would piss me off!

It means, that I just should give the code 10 times wrong, after I can spend a whole day to retype all infos in it.

I'd recommend syncing to Outlook or another PIM on your PC or using Desktop Manager's backup utility from now on as well as keeping your Blackberry out of your brother's hands...

you have to get a specific unlock code for your IMEI/PIN from your service provider or through one of the third party unlocking companies that will generate the code for your blackberry specifically. tmobile will unlock for free though if you meet certain conditions and if you ask them to..
