Arrow 8700g USB Plate Loose!! What to do?!! - 11-06-2006, 08:15 PM

The little plate around the usb port and ear piece is loose ! This is my 2nd one. this one is not so loose. I havent dropped either one. I dont know what to do. Please HELP!

no it connects but the little plate around it wiggles and its kind of annoying.
i was wondering if any fixes or if its normal..itsn ot as bad as my first one but im thinking of doing the imposisble and getting a dash..but windwos mobile so since im a new bb user and i love it i dont want to switch unless i have to

mine wiggles a little, not too much though, if you like the blackberry and it bothers you, just have them replace it again if you are within your 30 days..

I'd take a T6 driver, refer to the disassembly thread and put that plate back into place. It should slide into grooves and once that's done it really shouldn't shift (it certainly doesn't shift at all on either of my two 8700c's). However, that's me and I have taken apart several models. If you're worried about not getting everything together properly or messing something up then a warranty exchange is really your only other option.

what i dont know is if its normal. Ive noticed on the 8700c that it doesnt move. The casing is a little different so i guess its built different. As to the disaseembly issue i am not that technilogically inclined. Im more software inclined so i would dare open my device and risk getting dust in the screen. I get scared and nervous about anything
