Default what's the icon on the top? - 11-07-2006, 09:59 PM

top right, there's this globe with a number 1 by its side. this is showing on my 8707 for the past week. What is it? How do i get rid of it?

Most likely Blackberry Messenger ... Go to Blackberry Messenger and see if you have a message or pending request.

I think that is called "pushed content". I used to get weather info pushed to my 7105t. Should show up in your message mailbox or email mailbox with a similar icon. Usually you have to set-up or request for these types of messages to be sent to your device. The number next to the globe is simply the number of this type of message in your mailbox... I think .....

i scrolled down the huge list of emails and fuah la! "English Premier League..."
Deleted it and now the globe is gone.

The globe is a pending web request. You went to browse a web page when it was not possible (out of coverage, on a phone call, or something) and it cached your request for the web page until later when conditions improved.
