Just got a warranty replacement for my 8700c (from Cingular of course) and I used the "Switch device Wizard" feature of the BB. It not only copied all my apps and data from the old to the new BB (while upgrading to the new Vodafone Image), but I selected the "provision device" option and viola!, it also did the enterprise activation and all that...I literally had to call my IT dept. and tell them to close my case out since there was no need for them to activate my BB!

I was so pleased, it made my day! What else can one expect on a Friday after Thanksgiving!

The original post states that he is useing Desktop Manager 4.2. Not Handheld OS 4.2.

V4.2 of the Handheld OS for the 8100 is out.
It is being tested for the 8700 (there are dozens of threads about it) and no one has a release date.
