Default Cannot View Video Links From Websites?? - 11-25-2006, 12:12 PM

Hello All!

Not sure if it’s a setting on my phone, or the RIM web browser doesn’t support it, but example: If I got to cnn.com, and click on a hyperlink to view a video, I receive a message on my blackberry stating: “The requested action could not be preformed. JavaScript is not enabled on this handheld.”

Now, is this a setting I need to change on my blackberry, and if so, how and where?

Or is this a problem with my Java software, and I will not be able to view video from my blackberry.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Matt

From the browser, go to options, browser configuration. Check all the java boxes. If it doesn't work after that then the BB probably doesn't support the media type.

I have never been able to run motion video. I thought the network would not forward that much data to the device unless it could store it onboard.
Tried CNN and FOX neither work with BB but do with a phone.

The Pearl is the only BlackBerry that can view video. Nothing you can do with your 8700. Sorry.

Doug

Remember, please try searching first!

Need a screenshot? ... Like JavaLoader?
Try using BBscreen .....Use JL_Cmder!
or BBScreenShooter!
