Default Voice dialing on 8703e ?? - 11-27-2006, 01:11 AM

1.Is there a free app or pay app that you can buy for an 8703e to allow it to just dial numbers via voice inputs???

2. Also, I can't figure out how to switch calls without dropping my current caller..... Anyone know?

3. Voicemails.....how the hell are you supposed to know when you got one??? I don't get a message screen or any beeps or anything.
I had 13 voicemails and never even once knew they were there.....

1. no voice dialing software yet..

2. to swith calls click the trackwheel and click "flash", do the same to switch back

3. you should get a little annoying message in your messages box saying how many messages you have each time you get a new one, as well as a a little cassette tape indicator should display on your main screen underneath the time when you have a voicemail..

hope this helps!

Re: voice mail notification . . . it's possible you don't have it turned on in your voice mail settings (not on your BB, but in your actual voice mail account settings that are changed by calling into voice mail).

Where that setting actually is in your voice mail menu system may be dependent on carrier and market.

Do any bluetooth combinations offer this or is that entirely phone-based?

Thanks for the heads up.

I don't know why I asked for pay type software. Every phone I had before this one it was free, now they're trying to capitalize on EVERY convenience software out there with a monthly fee.... so gay if ya ask me. I won't pay for it. GPS too.....lame

I do appreciate the answer though....I should have reworded my question.

Do you have Sprint or Verizon? I believe Sprint has voice dialing service, but again it is for a cost, although low I think. I agree though, paying for voice dialing is archaic.

Do The Gays charge monthly fees? I wasn't aware.
