Talking Data plan questions - 11-27-2006, 10:35 PM

Hello all, I am new to these forums after just purchasing my first Blackberry today (8703e, Sprint). I am having trouble getting the browser icon, but that seems to be a common problem, so I'm just going to wait it out and make some calls tomorrow, which will hopefully work. My main question is: Will it cost any extra money to get the BIS plan? I already have an unlimited data plan through sprint, and I don't want to get a huge bill. I guess in summary, are there many hidden charges that I will encounter on my way to having a fully functional Blackberry?

Thanks a lot!

Scott

Welcome to the forums...

No it doesn't cost extra for the BIS as long as you have a data plan. You may be able to get the browser by going to Options, advanced options, host routing table, register now. If that doesn't do it then call your carrier and they can send you the service books.

If you don't want a huge bill, be sure to get a text messaging plan (if you send or receive them)...it is not included in the data plan.
