Default 8700c Broken, HELP!?!? :-( - 12-13-2006, 11:35 PM

Please help...I have a Blackberry 8700c that is unlocked, it has never been dropped, its been babied, but now for some reason, it shows no service, and it can't find service, while my other 8100 next to it works perfectly. I tried changing the sim, and still nothing. I tried erasing it with the jl utility, and then installed the newest software, but it still has the same problem. Any ideas??? BTW, I am on cingular, and I have the new 3G sim cards.

Thanks

Sounds like it is broken. Needs service. These things happen.

Same thing happened to my 8700C - had to send it back to Cingular. Never heard back as to what was wrong.

possibly might be the 3g sim .. BB 8700c's aren't 3g devices, so that might be a reason.

Also, call cingular and double check to make sure your account is properly provisioned on there side.

Thanks guys,
I called cingular and they are sending me a refurb replacement. I thought it might be the 3g sim too, but i tried a tmobile sim, because its unlocked, and it didnt work still.
